FAQs
Of course, we understand that a booking often has to be made a few weeks in advance. The weather forecast is often still unknown. Accordingly, it can happen that the weather simply doesn't cooperate at all on the day of the tour.
We have a generous cancellation policy in such cases - if the weather (according to ZAMG/Bergfex) makes it impossible to carry out the event, the booking can be canceled the evening before free of charge. Of course, you can often look for an alternative - often at least a half-day tour is possible instead of a full-day tour. Alternatively, there are even hikes that can be done without any problems in light rain.
Good footwear (profile soles, ankle-high shoes) is essential for every hike. Sporty clothing and weather protection (rain jacket, sunscreen, cap, hood, gloves and sunglasses) are also part of the required equipment. Hiking poles are often recommended, but personal preference is crucial (help or hindrance).
A mountain hiking guide not only ensures that you can concentrate completely on the tour, but in addition to the hike, he also tells you stories about the region, information about nature or explains the surrounding mountain landscape to you.
Of course, a mountain hiking guide is also medically trained in the event of an accident on the mountain. Tour planning and checking the prerequisites (weather) are also part of your mountain hiking guide's tasks.
And of course a mountain hiking guide knows the best “secret spots”.
